Parent Newsletter, Easter Edition 2025 Easter Greetings! He is risen indeed! The Easter Season has brought many beautiful works to the atrium focusing on the beauty of the Resurrection and our own life in Christ. First of all, the children’s Alleluia prayer cards which were “buried” in a special box during Lent, were brought out in procession, and the Alleluias have been resounding ever since! After our Liturgy of Light, the first work to be presented was the good news of Jesus’ resurrection in the Empty Tomb Presentation praying with Mark 16:1-8. The Baptism Corner, with its newly-made white stand (thanks to Pat Stewart for his woodworking skills!) is another work of the Easter Season, in which we reflect on the light of Christ which is represented by the Paschal Candle. The child then learns about the other signs of Baptism: water, white garment, and holy chrism. The Mystery of Life and Death is an especially poignant presentation reflecting on John 12:24, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” And, joyfully, flowers are back in the atrium. The children have been creating beautiful flower arrangements to adorn the prayer table or to place in front of pictures of the Risen Lord.
